Cycling @ East Coast Park

This pic was taken on 5th may, that morning before pappy went for his 3-week long overseas reservist at South Africa. It was the first time we went cycling as a family of 3, in one bicycle. We had fun of course. Joshua boy was not scared at all. He was beaming along the way.
Manoeuvring this type of family bicycle needs proper coordination in order to move in a balance state. Pappy and I were quite agile and alert (heng har...), and constantly reminded ourselves to take care of joshua's safety.
On our way back to the bicycle rental kiosk, a group of korean youngsters (they spoke in korean) nearly bumped into us. Pappy shouted out loud at them when he realised that they were on the wrong lane, crowding the way in a rowdy manner, having no sense of danger at all. Luckily, pappy's loud voice saved our lives. Those youngsters managed to stop their nonsense in time.

somewhere out there...

pappy not in town now. He's in india, enjoying the india curry...hehehe...(we always refer to india as ... ziak gari...)mahmmyboy & joshua boy will have each other for company...really miss pappy's presence...he will be back on sat early in the morning 6 o'clock (not the song, it's true)

Pappy has installed Skype & web cam. But too bad, due to some technical problem, can't use the web cam. As for the Skype, due to his busy schedule & different time zone, can't chat online. So, we have to resort to more expensive means of communication, phone call.

Does joshua boy miss pappy? The last time at the airport to pick up pappy, joshua boy screamed with excitement when he saw pappy coming out of the arrival hall. The other passengers were staring at him. Who cares! my son misses his papa wat...

@li nah's place

Serene and I paid li nah & family a visit last friday evening (22 aug) after our dinner at 'hong kong street zhen ji', amk ave 5. Sophie was still well-awake. Probably she was anticipating visitors or playmates...hehehe....

joshua boy upon seeing sophie & serene playing in the play-yard, was like love-at-first-sight, die-die must climb in to join in the fun.

I took some pics & a video clip showing how persistent joshua boy was at that moment & how he managed to get into the play-yard, and what he did.

Joshua & 'Thomas' (III)

Joshua boy's new storybook
'Thomas the Tank Engine Story Treasury'

new toy

Pappy bought a new toy for joshua boy. It's the 'jolly penguin' track series.Joshua boy likes his latest toy a lot. He will play with that every morning when he wakes up. Somehow from the way he handles the toy, i realise that he can be rather mischievous. He will place his finger on the track's escalator to create a 'tar tar' noise. The poor penguin's movement will be interrupted as a result. My joshua gives me a cheeky grin upon seeing that...

Bishan Junction 8 & library

Went out with li nah & sophie yesterday. We had afternoon tea at Cafe Cartel, Junction 8.

After that, we went to Bishan library, children's section. Li nah was impressed with that place (read her bog). The whole basement is designed and catered to children and parents. There is a baby diaper changing station, male/female toilets and a handicapped toilet too (which i always use with joshua...hehehe...)

Will go again with li nah in sept and drag serene along too...help to take care of our kiddos...he hehe....will try to ask annie to come along as well (annie has a helper...that helps too...hehehe...)
This time, in fact, happy for li nah. She plucks up the courage & willingness to take the first step to bring sophie out without ck. Don't worry! Just do it! you have made it, li nah!

My little helper of the day (III)

joshua boy's cleaning set

joshua boy likes to play with the adult-sized mop. He acidentally hit me with the mop one day. I was so fed up, shouted at him to put that down.
Recently I saw a kid-sized cleaning set at Kiddy Palace, so bought one for him to work & play (at the same time). He will happily push the trolley to every corner of the house now. Most importantly, he never meddle with the mop again and I am free from bruises too...hehehe...

Joshua & 'Thomas' (II)

Joshua boy loves to watch 'Thomas & friends' cartoon and loves to take the train ride too. However, he does not like to play with the toys. Ironically, when he sees the toys, he will point and scream with excitement. After that, he will give the toys a miss. Pappy & I wonder why he behaves that way...???

Happy National Day(IV) !

It's a happy rainy day!

Happy National Day(III) !

We also managed to catch our country's flag flew past...

Happy National Day(II) !

This is joshua boy's first time seeing the real fireworks display! He was sleeping, in fact. Thus we decided to leave marina square (that whole place was packed like sardines...) heading home. Along the way to city hall mrt station, however, or rather luckily, joshua boy woke up. We managed to catch the fireworks display...
